The first step is to attend your chapter meetings to find out what the current issues and how the union is dealing with these issues. All the officers are elected from within the local chapter.

Each Chapter has it's own leadership, bylaws, and one supervisor from each of APEA/AFT's Regions sit on the APEA-AFT Board of Directors.
