Infectious Disease

WEBCandida species are the fourth most common cause of health care-associated bloodstream infections in the US (2015), with Candida albicans predominating. However, at Ochsner since 2010, Candida glabrata has been the most common species.C. glabrata is more resistant to certain antifungals, creating a concern regarding appropriate therapy.

Ochsner Medical School Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship

WEBAward. Up to 5 total fellowships will be awarded to eligible applicants. The duration of this post- doctoral research fellowship is for 22 weeks. Total stipend is $800 per week payable bi-weekly.
