Environmental Management
WEBEnergy consumption. Total energy consumption was over 250,000 MWh in the financial year 2020/21. Electricity and fuels for heating or manufacturing both play a crucial role in our production processes, constituting nearly 80% of total energy consumption. The remainder is associated with the fuel consumption of our vehicle fleet.
Customer Health & Safety
WEBFor example, 51% of reporting sites have achieved ISO 9001 certification. Examples of contributions to customer health and safety in the financial year 2019/20 included: AS AMER launched an extensive process to properly manage the replacement of products with outdated features across some of our lodging, multi-housing and commercial products.
Financial performance
WEBThe net financial result for the financial year 2021/22 amounted to CHF –30.9 (previous year: CHF –24.7 million). This is due to higher debt driven by acquisitions, net working capital investments and slightly higher interest rates in 2021/22. The profit before taxes decreased to CHF 173.9 million (previous year: CHF 249.6 million).

WEB10 min. dormakaba finished the 2020/21 financial year with good business results that marked an improvement on the previous year. The company recorded organic sales growth of 1.3% and an EBITDA margin of 14.1% (previous year 12.8%). In addition, cash flow from operations remained high at CHF 384.5 million (previous year CHF 407.9 million).

WEBThe financial year 2020/21 was the second year of collaboration with EcoVadis on supplier off-site assessments. Again, we invited around 450 suppliers to participate in the assessment. We saw substantial improvements in the participation rate, with 146 suppliers joining the assessment versus 86 in the previous reporting year.
